SAFE DRIVING TIPS

SAFETY FIRST SPEED AFTERWARDS. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.

DRIVE CAREFULLY FOR THE SHAKE OF YOURS' CHILDREN.

DRIVE CAREFULLY FOR THE SHAKE OF OTHERS CHILDREN.

LIQUOR AND DRIVING MAKES A LETHAL COCKTAIL.

AVOID DRIVING WHEN YOU ARE TIRED, SICK OR FATIGUED.

SLOW DOWN SPEED, IF SOMETHING ON THE ROAD, IS BOTHERING YOU.

USE HORNS WHILE STARTING, TO WARN PEDESTRIANS AT CROWDED PLACES.

DRIVE SLOWLY, WHEN ROAD IS WET.

DRIVE SLOWLY, WHEN BRAKES ARE WET.

USE BOTH BRAKES SIMULTANEOUSLY WHILE DRIVING A BIKE.

SLOW DOWN SPEED AND USE HORNS WHEN ONE VEHICLE IS OVERTAKING ANOTHER FROM THE FRONT ON THE NARROW ROAD.

DRIVE SAFELY, YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS ARE WAITING AT HOME.

REPEAT THESE TIPS TIME AND AGAIN, TO ENABLE YOU TO APPLY THEM IN TIME OF NEED.

BEWARE OF BYLANES, WHILE DRIVING.

My friend Praveen Jee was going to office by his bike.   A man riding his bicycle came at once before the bike from a by lane. In a desperate attempt to save him, Pravin Jee dashed his bike against an iron gate and fell. He sustained enough injuries to be confined to bed for three days.
Once I was going to Bairiya Bus Stand, Muzaffarpur via Sutapatti. The road of Sutapatti consists of many by-lanes. A small lovely girl riding on her trendy bicycle came at once from a by lane and dashed against my bike in the center.Everything happened in a fraction of the second, so I lost balance and fell on the ground. The girl also fell. The nearby people rushed and helped us. Fortunately, none of us was injured since the bike was dead slow.
I learned my lesson after that unfortunate incident. I avoid roads which consist of numerous by lanes. I prefer to travel on main roads. I remain extra cautious and use horn discreetly while driving in residential areas since there are lots of by lanes.

DO MOCK TESTS FOR SAFETY

Mock tests keep us fit to cope with real emergency situations.
Sincere students do a lot of mock tests before entering the examination hall for true trials.
Our troops do test firing so that they could hit targets correctly when war breaks out.

Our security officer advised doing mock tests of fire extinguishers at the time of refilling it so that we could use it smoothly in an emergency.
Once I realized the importance of mock tests near the busiest Gandhi Setu, I was going to Patna to attend a reception party. The left front tire of the car went flat just ahead of the Gandhi Setu in Agamkuan. I was accompanied by two 60 years, old friends. We were nervous to see the flat tire. We searched a mechanic but could find none. So I decided to change the flat tire myself. I took out jack and put it under the car. I had not changed any flat tire since 2001. So I put the jack upside down. When I took out the flat tire, the Jack became unbalanced. Shri B.K.Shrivastav immediately lifted a big piece of rock and put it under the car's hood while Shri Anil Singh was trying to lift the vehicle. But our efforts were futile; we were thoroughly exhausted. At once  I saw three young men on the road. I requested them for help. They came and lifted the car for a few minutes while chanting, “Allah O Akbar." I could not even fit the extra wheel due to darkness as well as unpreparedness. One young man took the Stepney from my hands and installed it within minutes. They asked," Uncle, do you need anything more." I replied in the negative while thanking them and God for sending angels to help us. I also took a vow to do mock tests regularly for anticipated emergency situations.

BE A SKILLED & EFFECTIVE CHANGE MANAGER

The change is the universal law. Everything changes except the law of change.
A skilled & fast driver is one of the best Change Managers. Everything continuously changes before him. He keeps all his senses alert. His nose detects any smell in the vehicle. It may be a small fuel leakage or a burning thing that can be a reason of an accident. His eyes & ears are fully alert to the fast-changing traffic. His hands & legs automatically move to take right decisions. As soon as he observes a small child on the road, his right leg automatically pushes the brake. He always maintains a sufficient safety margin and makes double sure before making any move.
He is always conscious of the fact that his fellow drivers may commit mistakes. So he is always alert and takes immediate remedial steps to avert accidents. He decides within fractions of a second. His sub-conscious mind & reflexes are perfectly trained to take fast as well as accurate decisions.
The skilled & fast driver has a very clear vision of his destination, and he continuously advances towards it. He drives slowly when there is much traffic on the road. He increases speed as soon as his path becomes vacant. "Moving fast with a sense of urgency & calm nerves." is always his motto.
After all, his passengers want to reach their destinations safely in time.
Let us become active Change Managers to continue to grow in this sharp competitive world. Let’s move fast with a sense of urgency & calm nerves. Let us maintain sufficient safety margin & make ourselves double sure before taking any decision.
A fast & skilled driver continuously trains his subconscious mind & reflexes by continuous practice & repetition. We may also become an effective & fast change Manager by adopting the same process.
