THERE IS A GOOD NEWS, WE ADJUST FAST.

I had deep sympathy for diabetics for their life becomes black and white. There is no color in life without sweet chocolates, yummy cakes, mouth watering Ras Madhuris & delicious desserts.

I loved sweets terribly from my childhood. Therefore, my heart broke when my pathologist told that my fasting sugar level was 140 i.e. 30 points above the normal level.  The Doctor advised me to strictly avoid all sweet things. To add insult to the injury, my sister in law advised me to avoid salt also.
So I started taking Roasted Gram Sattu with water without salt or sugar. First I cursed my fate, and then I chanted," Jahi Vidhi Rakhe Ram, Tahi vidhi rahiye."(Live happily, the way God keeps you) and started sipping the tasteless solution. Incidentally, I liked the natural taste of roasted gram.
On seeing my first love, the yummy sweets, I now console myself," These sweets were dear to my heart once, but now they will take my life. Only a foolish will hug a friend turned foe, and only an idiot will pierce a sword made of pure gold into his stomach. So how sweet and yummy my life takers may be, I shall always abhor them like poison.
I was taking Kachauris & pulses at a feast, my friend Chandan Kumar suggested me to take one piece of mutton. I took one small piece & exclaimed to myself.
Jitne bhee too karle Sitam,
Hans-hans ke sahenge Hum.
Sanam Teri Kasam. (We will keep laughing while bearing with your excesses, My darling.)

Slowly my tastes have changed, now I prefer sugarless tea to sweetened tea. If somebody gives me sweetened tea by mistake, I find it very difficult to sip it. I have lost interest in yummy sweets also.

DEVELOP YOUR FORESIGHTEDNESS

Rudyard Kipling's best friends were What, Who, Why, Where, When & How? Exploring a problem by asking six fundamental questions was also called Kipling Method.

However, we may develop our foresightedness tremendously by asking one simple question, “What if?" Many Scientists must be expert in asking, “What if?"  They must always be asking during their experiments what if I tried this or what if I tried that. Our Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi must have asked himself," What if I used Satyagraha with non-violence for fighting against the mighty British Empire where the Sun never sets.

Many years ago on one beautiful Saturday evening, I forgot the duplicate keys of my office in the drawer. Later on, I found that the duplicate keys were missing. My mind started to race fast.
What if a thief finds the keys, he will empty the whole office in the night?  The book value of all the computers, fans, coolers and furniture must be many lacks. The bank will recover the entire amount from me. The Police will also come into the picture. They will blame me that I knowingly gave the keys to someone to steal everything from the branch office. Thus, I may get involved in a Police case also. All these thoughts were trying to make me depressed.
When the keys were with me, I used to keep them casually without understanding the implications of it being lost. Earlier I could have asked," what if" I missed the duplicate keys. This simple question would have saved peace & enjoyment of my weekend.

So when you have blessings, ask yourself,"What will happen if I lose them, and hear the answers. Ask “What if? on every occasion." This simple method will help develop your foresightedness to a great extent.

BE A SKILLED & EFFECTIVE CHANGE MANAGER

The change is the universal law. Everything changes except the law of change.
A skilled & fast driver is one of the best Change Managers. Everything continuously changes before him. He keeps all his senses alert. His nose detects any smell in the vehicle. It may be a small fuel leakage or a burning thing that can be a reason of an accident. His eyes & ears are fully alert to the fast-changing traffic. His hands & legs automatically move to take right decisions. As soon as he observes a small child on the road, his right leg automatically pushes the brake. He always maintains a sufficient safety margin and makes double sure before making any move.
He is always conscious of the fact that his fellow drivers may commit mistakes. So he is always alert and takes immediate remedial steps to avert accidents. He decides within fractions of a second. His sub-conscious mind & reflexes are perfectly trained to take fast as well as accurate decisions.
The skilled & fast driver has a very clear vision of his destination, and he continuously advances towards it. He drives slowly when there is much traffic on the road. He increases speed as soon as his path becomes vacant. "Moving fast with a sense of urgency & calm nerves." is always his motto.
After all, his passengers want to reach their destinations safely in time.
Let us become active Change Managers to continue to grow in this sharp competitive world. Let’s move fast with a sense of urgency & calm nerves. Let us maintain sufficient safety margin & make ourselves double sure before taking any decision.
A fast & skilled driver continuously trains his subconscious mind & reflexes by continuous practice & repetition. We may also become an effective & fast change Manager by adopting the same process.
